This article “Interdisciplinary Approach Improving Vocal Health in Singers” was submitted by the University of Washington Arts and Sciences web team in 2012. It highlights the interdisciplinary work between Dr. Ragan and the UW laryngology program, headed by Dr. Al Merati and his team of speech-language pathologist voice specialists, and UW Speech and Hearing Sciences, in particular Marty Nevdahl and Mara Kapsner-Smith. This article was featured after Dr. Ragan received the prestigious Van L. Lawrence Award was given jointly by The Voice Foundation and the National Association of Teachers (NATS).
